Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Facilities Assistant (cleaner) to join our team at Selden Centre - Worthing

This is a part time position totalling 22.5 hours per week, working on two weeks shift pattern

Week 1

Wednesday 8am until 4pm

Thursday 10am until 6pm

Friday 10am until 6pm

Week 2

Wednesday   8am until 4pm

Saturday 10 am until 6pm

Sunday 10am until 6pm

Main duties of the job

We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can work equally well on their own or as part of a team, to deliver and achieve high standards of environmental cleaning and prepare meals for service.

We need people who recognise the importance of providing a clean environment and for food safety in the provision of the daily meal service, as well as the importance of adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all times.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to: - vacuum cleaning, damp mopping of floors, damp dusting of furniture/fittings, cleaning of mirrors and internal glass, sanitary ware, e.g. baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork, high dusting of walls and ceilings, floor cleaning etc.. In addition this role will require some food handling to support the provision of a meal service for patients in our care. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
