Job overview

We are looking for a positive and motivated Experience Coordinator, ideally with lived experience of mental health or of caring for someone with mental ill health, to join our well-established Patient and Carer Experience and Involvement Team.  With proven experience of leading on involvement and co production projects across health and/or care, you will be clearly visible across our teams and services, supporting staff to work together with service users and carers who use services, to introduce positive changes and outcomes.  You will have experience of using a trauma informed approach to guide your work and will also be mindful of ensuring you work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

You will support teams and services to collect, collate and report back on feedback to ensure that service users and carers have a voice which is heard by senior decision makers at a Trust, regional and national level.

You will also oversee the organisation and coordination of the Trusts thriving Service User Network (SUN) meeting, encouraging people to get involved from a diverse range of backgrounds

Main duties of the job

We recruit people based on their values and believe that their lived experience is an advantage. We seek out potential, not perfection, and this means that together we are as diverse as the communities we care for.

Simply put, when we employ caring people who act with integrity and have the right skills, we can give those with mental health challenges, learning disabilities and neurodiversity high-quality care and support to live fulfilling lives, and make our staff feel purposeful, happy and valued.

All our information is available in accessible formats.
