We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join the Chief Executive’s Office, supporting the Chief Executive and Director of Communications in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Based in the Chair and Chief Executive’s Office, you will provide high-quality, confidential and proactive support, helping senior leaders deliver Trust priorities effectively. This varied role requires professionalism, discretion and strong organisational skills to manage complex  workloads and changing priorities.

You will work closely with Executive and Non-Executive Directors, senior leaders, colleagues across the Trust, and external partners including NHS England. Executive support alignments may change in line with organisational priorities.

Main duties of the job

This is a hybrid role based at York Hospital, with at least three days on site each week, Mondays are essential. Some flexibility will be needed to support business cover.

Applicants must have at least two years’ experience providing executive support to a Director or Senior Manager, including complex diary management (or equivalent experience). This will be assessed at interview.

Interviews are planned for Tuesday 23 June 2026 at York Hospital.

Applicants applying on a secondment basis should have agreement from their current line manager before submitting an application.
