Job Title:   Employee Relations Advisor / Assistant ER Advisor

Band:   AfC 4 or 5 (dependent on experience)

Salary: £26,530 - £36,483 Dependant on experience

Contract: 12 Month Fixed-Term / Secondment covering maternity leave

We are looking for candidates to recruit for an Employee Relations Advisor or Assistant ER Advisor, depending on experience, who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The role will provide a professional advisory support service to managers on general operational ER issues, such as terms and conditions of service, sickness absence, performance management, disciplinary investigations, harassment & bullying complaints, and grievances.

Please read the person specification carefully, as we are welcoming candidates with previous HR/ER experience to work at an advisor level, or would also welcome candidates looking to further their experience and knowledge in Employee Relations with training and development.

The role will support to provide a fully comprehensive and high quality ER support and advisory service to the Trust.

You will support managers and the ER team with all types of ER casework, including but not limited to matters of disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment, sickness absence, performance management, including supporting managers in the preparation of cases at all stages of the procedure as needed.

The role will also support with the management of the ER forums; coordinating meetings, note taking and diary management.

Management of the central ER inbox, dealing with queries promptly and sufficiently.

Assist in the coordination of relevant documentation for Employment Tribunals

Support services in providing tailored coaching and development for managers and team leaders in dealing with Employee Relations issues

Producing basic workforce reports around sickness absence and unauthorised absence

Coordination of invoices for the team in relation to ER casework and legal advice

Proactively assisting managers in dealing with sickness absence and performance issues in line with trust processes

Coordinating the Joint staff committee, producing agenda and minutes for meetings
