Are you a passionate and experienced Enhanced Clinical Practitioner eager to make a difference in Urgent Care or Walk-in Services? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our diverse inner London Walk-in Service, where every team member plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care.

As a highly valued member of our team, you will help shape the quality of care we provide. We take pride in supporting our ACPs/ECPs to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practices, while fostering professional growth and development.

In this role, you will work autonomously, providing care for both adults and children, using expert clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills to manage unscheduled presentations of acute undifferentiated conditions. If you are new to paediatric care, you will receive structured support and guidance from our Practice Educator and Clinical Lead to develop the necessary skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide autonomous, unscheduled care to patients presenting with acute undifferentiated conditions, drawing on expert clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Emergency Services, other healthcare professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Contribute to defining and maintaining high standards of care and practice, helping to improve service quality.
  • Support senior staff in the operational management and ongoing development of the service.
  • Take on shift coordinator responsibilities on a rotational basis, demonstrating leadership in managing day-to-day service operations.
  • Achieve and maintain competencies in both adult and paediatric care through structured learning with our Practice Educator.
  • Communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and compassionately to patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Deliver care within a culturally sensitive and inclusive framework.
  • Participate in implementing, conducting and evaluating service audits to support continuous improvement.
