The department has recently opened it's new £5m Endoscopy Suite and dedicated training facility.

The Endoscopy unit at Torbay Hospital has been recognised nationally for its high standards of patient care, recognised as an exemplar site for Endoscopy care, training and Bowel Cancer Screening.
The Endoscopy Unit delivers an extended service to include evenings and weekends.
Main duties of the job
- To be able to work as part of the decontamination team and the wider Endoscopy Unit team in a collaborative and respectful wa
- To assist in the decontamination process for use in direct patient care, in accordance with policies and procedure
- Working with soiled items returned from clinical procedures for Decontamination and Sterilisatio
- Book clinical items in and out of the Endoscopy Unit
- To adhere to the Trust’s policy on confidentialit
- To be aware and update knowledge of hospital policies and procedures from the Trusts intrane
- To be responsible for own knowledge of the Trust’s and Departmental Health & Safety Policy and Risk Register
