Band 7 – Emergency Nurse Practitioner
Rotational working cross site is expected. Base predominantly at Epsom Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner with proven specialist knowledge and skills to work within our busy Emergency Department. We are looking for candidates who will bring a positive attitude to the Trust and have a flexible approach to working. You must have excellent communication skills and good organisational skills. He/she will be joining a supportive, friendly team who are committed to ensuring quality patient care whilst achieving the Clinical Quality Indicators and other national targets. Currently a team of Nurse Practitioners cover this service and we are looking to compliment this team with Emergency Nurse Practitioners. You will be expected to be accountable for the total episode of care for patients presenting with a varying range of minor injuries and minor illnesses. This will include assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing referral or discharge. You will display evidence of a commitment to quality improvement within Emergency Care. Duties of the Post
The post of a qualified nurse is characterised by six principle role functions:
Clinical Practice Advanced Clinical skills Professional leadership and management Education training and development Evaluation of care and research Human Resources
The balance between practice and management will vary according to day to day priorities, but will be negotiated overall with the Lead Nurse / Senior Nurse.
