We are looking for ENPs to join our friendly team in a busy and demanding Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. You'll need post-registration experience, excellent communication skills and, of course, a passion for minor injuries management.
We are currently recruiting Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) or equivalent extended scope practitioners to help maintain the very high standards of care we strive for. Successful candidates will help deliver the quality and safety agenda for the department and provide excellent leadership skills to the diverse team.
Our dynamic, caring and highly-motivated team are looking for a ENPs who can communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and relatives as well as other team members, you must be able to work as an autonomous practitioner in the management of minor injuries and preferably have experience in an emergency care setting and will be expected to work the full complement of the rota as required by the service.
Main duties of the job
The Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) or Emergency Practitioner (EP) will support the minor injuries service, a team of both registered and unregistered staff to undertake the care and management of patients within the Minor Injuries Unit on a shift by shift basis.
The ENP/EP will offer support, guidance and professional support to the nursing team in the MIU.
The ENP/EP will be expected to see undifferentiated patients presenting with minor injuries. The postholder will be expected to assess, interpret results, provide appropriate treatments and discharge with the correct follow up care plan.
The post holder will act as a role model for colleagues and as an expert resource within the service.
