Job overview

University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust (Bristol site) seeks applicants for Post-F2 Clinical Education Fellows to commence in August 2026 for one year.

These posts provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to work in a busy inner city university hospital and be part of the Postgraduate Medical Education Faculty. Successful candidates will be actively involved in a personalised post aimed at developing the candidate’s skills and interests.  This includes opportunities in organising and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education and research.

Main duties of the job

The posts comprise 50% clinical service in the haematology/oncology SDEC unit. The other 50% of the time will be non-clinical and focused on medical education. This time is individualised, giving you the opportunity to develop your CV in undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education, research and/or service development. There may be the opportunity to spend this time in the Bristol Medical Simulation Centre, subject to interview.

The post also includes home fees paid to study for a Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Bristol’s Teaching and Learning for Health Professionals (TLHP) department.

The appointments will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service of Trust grade Doctors (2017) and may be subject to amendment.
