Job overview

This is a great opportunity to join the Community CAMHS  and Adult Eating Disorders Team, to provide clinics to our patient group to support in physical health monitoring, offering phlebotomy services and ECG's.

This is an exciting development for the service as we advertised 2 x part time roles, 22.5 hours per week. You will work closely with the Medical Monitoring team and have the support of the wider multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

  • To perform ECGs and Phlebotomy to patients of all ages who access community eating disorder services within Nottinghamshire.

To hold clinics to perform these tasks including blood pressure, pulse, height and weight when required. Working within an MDT to support the physical monitoring of patients with complex eating disorders. Enabling patients have to monitoring by a specialist service and closer to home.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Preform phlebotomy and 12 lead ECGs to the trust standard

To deliver high quality care to patients / service user in the community and clinic setting

To work effectively within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).

To work flexibly and innovatively to meet the needs of the patient population

Follow escalation processes when assessing a deteriorating patient

Treat patients / service users as individuals

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
