There is an opening for a Driver in the NHS Highland Transport Department located on Stadium Road, Inverness. Applicants should be experienced drivers familiar with transport regulations, Health & Safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Road Risk, and Moving and Handling Regulations. The ideal candidate will be organised, highly motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. You should enjoy working with both transport staff and customers, have a friendly and helpful attitude, and know the local and Highland areas well. A valid Driving Licence covering category B, and ideally C1, is required. It is also preferred that candidates hold an up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) and a valid tachograph digicard. You must be capable of driving vehicles up to 7.5-tonne Large Goods Vehicles. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES
- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
