Job summary

Vacancies have arisen within the Facilities Team to join our established team of Domestic Assistants. We are looking for motivated persons with a positive attitude.

The successful candidates should have previous experience in cleaning within a care setting or non-domestic environment.

The successful candidates will be flexible to cover the demands of the domestic services and be able to adapt to changes within the department and have the ability and initiative to learn new skills and work independently candidates must be willing to work towards NVQ in Cleaning be trustworthy, reliable and be able to prioritise workload.

Flexibility within this role is essential as it will involve covering for other members of the team. All training will be given to meet the requirements of the post.

Main duties of the job

  • The Domestic Assistant will be based on wards and department areas within the NHS buildings which includes off site premises, ensuring the highest standard of cleaning is achieved through the Trust working in line with The National Standards of Cleaning.
  • As part of the department team you will be required to follow specific requests by ward / department managers.
  • A flexible approach to work is expected to suit the needs of the service.
  • The Domestic Assistant will communicate with Supervisors and Management and bring to the attention any issues/ concerns that may relate to the job role.
