The Imaging Network Board is a collaborative partnership across the three ICSs of Surrey, Sussex & Frimley, ensuring alignment in service delivery across all health and care organisations in the region:

Main duties of the job

To deliver high quality, timely, sustainable, equitable diagnostic imaging services to patients working collaboratively as partners through Surrey, Sussex & Frimley Imaging Network (SE2). Trusts will commit to collaborating to achieve the below expectations and deliverables of the Imaging Network:

  • Facilitate sharing of images between providers – to avoid duplication of imaging when patients move between hospitals in the network.
  • Ensure reporting is undertaken wherever there is capacity and expertise in the network.
  • Ensure consistent, quality care through the sharing of best practice, and reduction of variation.
  • Mutually collaborate in an equitable and fair manner to support sharing of imaging resources through standardised imaging protocols across the network.
  • Improve staff movement between Trusts for training and development; equity of access; improved quality.
  • Collaborate to achieve cost effectiveness in capital planning including equipment, consumables, and services (i.e. outsourcing/insourcing options).
  • Drive innovation and transformation for optimal clinical outcomes and best use of resources.
  • Support standardised imaging protocols to support Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT); reduction in duplication of imaging when patients move between providers; ease staff movement; equity of access; improved quality.
