Job Summary Based at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, the team will be uniquely positioned between the clinical and research arms of the programme, aiming to deliver clinically driven deployment of AI in the NHS, as well as research-led validation of AI tools using world-leading infrastructure. The Digital Pathology AI Scientist position will provide a pivotal role in advancing the use of AI in the NHS, aiming to reduce waiting times for cancer patient diagnoses and operational costs for hospitals. To succeed in this role, the post holder will need in depth knowledge and skills in the development and application of Artificial Intelligence applied to healthcare. Successful applicants will build, deploy and evaluate existing software tools in both research and clinical settings. The post holder will be required to keep up to date with existing research trends and methodologies, and have the flexibility to react to external factors that may steer the direction of current research activity. The ability to manage workloads to support existing research projects as well as undertaking independent research is essential.
