We are now recruiting for a Digital Marketing Communications Officer to join the Health Innovation Network (HIN). This role leads the production of graphics, videos and other formats of multimedia for use across our corporate and client channels, as well as providing expertise in social media and website management.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a digital communications specialist who can produce excellent multimedia content while also contributing to the wider communications and engagement activity of the team. Typical duties could include:
- Producing simple animated video content using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and other tools;
- Designing posters, social media graphics and other visual content;
- Planning and delivering recordings of audio and video;
- Helping to manage digital and social media channels and determine our digital engagement approach.
We are not expecting an expert in all forms of digital multimedia production; a good fundamental understanding of common tools and techniques and a desire to learn is most important.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Update the website using the content management system. Approving and editing website submissions from other HIN staff members. Publish new and updated content online, ensuring all content is correctly tagged and optimised for search engines.
- Create and edit content for the website, email newsletters and social media channels, making sure everything we publish meets users’ needs and adheres to NHS style guide.
- Send targeted emails as required, tailoring each to the appropriate audience and using feedback and analytics to increase readership.
- Monitor and report on relevant website activity using Google Analytics and/or other customer insight tools.
- Production of infographics, graphic design, video and audio content:
- Use the latest computer technology and other appropriate mediums to produce creative and innovative graphic design/artwork for use in the presentation of organisation publications and promotional materials.
- Discuss and interpret client’s needs/requirements for design work, providing expertise and creative input from the inception stage of design work through to its final production.
- To continually develop skills in the latest desk top publishing, printing and multimedia techniques, and apply these as necessary in order to maintain and enhance the increasing expectation and requirements of colleagues and fully use the potential of computer design packages and the skills of other team members.
- To develop and use computer manipulation techniques on a wide range of base materials, including photographs, to provide colour correction, image enhancement and as necessary, image creation.
- Provide a filming and production service.
- Working to NHS guidelines, with regard to design considerations and photographic consent and copyright.
- Advise internal and external staff on appropriate communications approach.
- Help maintain e-calendar of events, such as infection control week, diabetes week etc.
- Providing guidance and advice for Trust publications and documents in relation to quality of content, brand and messaging.
