Job overview

A vacancy has arisen for a Band 3 Dietetic Support Worker in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Whipps Cross Hospital. The post provides support to both the Adult and Paediatric Dietetic teams in a clinical capacity (including both inpatient and outpatient work) and with administrative duties.

The clinical aspects of the post are supervised by the team of Adult Dietitians and support workers. There is a well established competency based training programme in place with the aim of enabling the successful applicant to support our patient group by providing excellence in dietetic care. Support for the administrative aspects of the role is available from Dietitians and Support workers in post as well as administrative post holders within the wider Therapies teams at Whipps Cross University hospital. The position involves working on a computer, at ward level with patients, staff and families and telephone work utilising a broad range of skills and ensuring that no two days are the same. Good computer and communication skills are of the utmost importance in this busy post.
