We rely on our support staff to help us monitor and review the nutritional intake of some of the patients under our care.  In addition part of this role will be to provide  support to the dietitians on site covering organisational duties to ensure equipment and nutritional resources are available. There will be some administrative duties so knowledge of Microsoft office and other IT packages will also be of benefit.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is organised and likes to work in a dynamic and fast paced acute healthcare environment and enjoys completing administrative tasks to support patient care.  There will also be opportunity to work in a patient facing capacity and therefore those who also enjoy working in a caring role,  have good communication skills and can champion the importance of nutrition in the healthcare setting with enthusiasm would be an ideal fit.  Although some existing knowledge of nutrition and experience working in the care setting will be of benefit, training will be provided - your ability to work as part of a team and provide care in a compassionate manner are most important.

Whilst based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, this post holder will work with the team of acute dietitians working across the main ABUHB hospitals.
