An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, Band 7 Diabetes Specialist Nurse on The Royal Site of University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. The successful candidate will work within a nationally and internationally recognised diabetes team. This large unit is well known for its dynamic and innovative delivery of diabetes services. Working within a multi-professional team of Diabetologists/Endocrinologists, diabetes specialist dietitians, diabetes podiatrists, diabetes pharmacists and a team of diabetes specialist nurses. The role will include taking a lead on an area of the service and supporting and supervising less experienced colleagues within the team. This post will cover specialist areas including insulin pump therapy and antenatal diabetes. You will be undertaking specialist assessments and documenting management plans for multi-professional colleagues and Healthcare practitioners both within the organisations and for referral on to other teams. You will lead on service audits and developments. This role does also include off site clinics within the community setting and on other hospital sites.
