Data Quality Assistant -Band 3 - Fixed term or Secondment opportunity available until the end of March 2027.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Data Quality Team as a Data Quality Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in the ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data. The Data Quality Team is responsible for implementing robust processes to guarantee high levels of accuracy in data capture, assignment, and validation.

As a Data Quality Assistant, you will be at the forefront of validation efforts, including tasks such as waiting list validation and data cleansing as part of the EPR project. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that our waiting lists remain current and accurate.

The Data Quality Team operates within a broader department that includes the Contact Centre and Patient Access Team. Our team comprises Data Quality Assistants and Facilitators, all working closely together to enhance the quality of data across a range of digital systems used within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

This role will be integral to supporting the Data Quality Team in working with services to ‘get it right first time’ (informed data entry). As a Data Quality Assistant you will be working in clinical systems to identify, process and correct data quality issues. You will work with the data quality facilitators to implement processes to ensure that data is recorded accurately by clinical and administrative teams.

Tasks will include waiting list validation and cleansing. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that our waiting lists remain current and accurate.

As a member of the Data Quality Team, you will also be providing advice and guidance to managers and clinical teams across the Trust on data quality or escalating up to the data quality facilitators.

Disclosure and Barring Service:

On 28 November 2020, the new Disclosure and Barring Service filtering rules will come into effect.

Please note the cost of the DBS check is increasing from 2nd December and the new cost will be

Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
