Job overview

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the ‘ECT Family’ this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.**

We are looking to appoint a full time, enthusiastic and motivated Data Quality  Admin  to support our Outpatient Booking Team .

You will need to be computer literate, flexible and willing to learn new skills. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team and must have a positive and proactive approach to work. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be dealing with staff  by phone, email and face to face. Knowledge of medical terminology, administration and organisational experience is essential.

Secondment 6 months

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Outpatient Booking Team to ensure all data quality is accurate and updated in a timely manner on the system.

To work as part of a team in the Booking and Admin Team to plan, book and schedule outpatient appointments ensuring that both Government and Trust targets are met.

To ensure that clinic capacity is utilised efficiently and effectively.

To manage e-Referral appointment bookings, using the worklists including the ASI (Appointment Slot Issues) and appointments for booking ensuring acknowledgement of receiptof referral, appropriate prioritisation of patients and offering a choice of day, time and location of appointment adhering to Government and Trust targets.

Answer incoming calls, assisting Service Mangers with specific enquiries, booking/re-booking appointments or re-directing to the appropriate clinical area. To make and ensure changes are made to out patient clinic templates and ensure cancellations are actioned accordingly.
