What You Will Need Full GMC registration with a licence to practise

CCT in Clinical Radiology (or within 6 months of completion)

A proven track record of independent radiology reporting and multidisciplinary collaboration

A sub-specialty interest (all welcome – especially Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT, Paediatrics, MSK, Chest, GI, Breast, or Interventional Radiology)

A drive to contribute to service development, teaching, and quality improvement

Willingness to work primarily at NGH with occasional cross-site collaboration at KGH

Main duties of the job

Clinical Duties:

  • Participate in the general radiology on-call rota (1:15 weekends, 1:14 weekdays; CT after 8pm is outsourced).
  • Attend Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings in a sub-specialty of interest.
  • Provide general and specialist radiology reporting.

Teaching & Supervision:

  • Engage in teaching and training of radiology registrars, radiographers, and medical students.

Professional Development:

  • Undergo annual job planning and appraisal (as per Trust policy).
  • Maintain GMC revalidation requirements.

Job Plan & Progression:

  • Standard contract: 10 PAs per week (including clinical work, MDTs, on-call, and 1.5 SPA).
  • Opportunity to expand to up to 12 PAs by taking on additional roles (e.g., clinical leadership, education, research, or management).
  • SPA time can increase by up to 1 additional PA depending on responsibilities.
