As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Liaison Psychiatry based at QEQM Hospital in Margate, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service and actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services.

East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust is a large acute hospital trust providing a full range of general hospital services to around 500,000 people living in the East of Kent. The Liaison Psychiatry Service provides a single point of contact for the mental health needs of patients attending the Emergency Department or admitted to the general hospital.

Main duties of the job

• To provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry Service
• To provide professional leadership including clinical leadership to the Liaison Multidisciplinary Team
• To provide professional leadership including clinical supervision to the medical team and to provide clinical leadership to the Liaison MDT
