Main duties of the job

Main Duties of the role include.

To provide medical leadership in Liaison Psychiatry to the Mental Health Liaison team.

To provide medical support and supervision to the Liaison team, completing second line specialist assessment and prescribing medical treatment where appropriate, supported by the Speciality and Junior Doctors.

To contribute to the development of the service in conjunction with other Team members, services within the Trust and other organisations locally including the Local Authority and Acute Trust.

Work closely and in partnership with other services and organisations to contribute to a seamless service of mental health provision and the development of appropriate care pathways for onward referral of individuals in need of further assessment and support.
