We are looking to appoint a Whole time Consultant Plastic Surgeon specialising in soft tissue reconstruction (inc. breast reconstruction) and trauma to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues.

The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision and development of the breast reconstruction service at the Royal Hallamshire working closely with the oncoplastic surgeons within the team. The post holder will support the trauma service at the Northern General site for general plastic trauma including burns and semi-elective conditions. All plastic surgery consultants in the team participate in general plastic and reconstructive work including skin cancer.
The appointee will be part of a trauma on-call rota (1:18) covering both Trusts involving Northern General, Royal Hallamshire and the Sheffield Children’s hospital. They will have continuing responsibility for patients in their care and the proper functioning of the Department.
