Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is looking to appoint a dedicated and flexible full-time Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine. This is a replacement post that offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of specialist rehabilitation services in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire.

The successful candidate will join a team of two other Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine, providing comprehensive services across the region. This role is pivotal in improving, strengthening, and developing specialist services, with a focus on both Neurorehabilitation and Prosthetic Rehabilitation, adaptable to the appointee's interests and negotiations.

Main duties of the job

We welcome applications from experienced consultants and those early in their career. The successful candidate will be encouraged to engage in continuous professional development and take advantage of mentorship available through the trust's mentorship scheme. With a large consultant body, peer support is readily available.

Applications are also encouraged from candidates who wish to work less than full-time. Job plans are reviewed annually, allowing flexibility in working patterns to suit the needs of the post holder and the service.
