Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for a full time Consultant post in Respiratory Medicine. The successful candidate will join a team of 18 consultants at the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Our team provides general and specialist in-patient and out-patient services including: a specialist sleep service caring for sleep apnoea and other sleep disorders (5000 patients on CPAP) a home ventilation service (350 patients on home ventilation) a purpose built dedicated 14 bed Acute Respiratory Care unit for patients requiring acute NIV, acute CPAP, HFNO etc. a large lung cancer service with thoracoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (about 500 new cancers pa) a comprehensive lung cancer multi-disciplinary meeting with close links to thoracic surgery a nationally recognized asthma service specialist services for interstitial lung disease and tuberculosis
