Main duties of the job

Your Role

  • Lead on patient assessment and management.
  • Provide consultancy and clinical leadership to the team.
  • Engage in GP liaison, MDT meetings, and medicolegal work (MHA/Sec 12).
  • Participate in the day duty on-call rota.
  • Drive service transformation and collaborative working across agencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role in the LMHT will also include the assessment of new patients /and follow up patients referred to the service related to patients resident in the catchment area, GP liaison work, management of patients within the recovery model, Mental Health Act work (Section 12) when required, day on-call duty rota (this will be based on a pro rata and on average 3 to 4 times a month for emergency work only, will be factored in the sessions and will not increase work load), cover for colleagues when on leave and working within the multidisciplinary team supporting other members of the team.

The role in the Early intervention team involves assessment and follow up of patients with first episode psychosis and medical support and advice to the EIP team.
