Responsibilities
*To provide clinical input to the inpatient wards covering community patients in the city and the wider organisation. This includes patient contact, MDT working, record keeping, risk management. All these roles withing the expectations of GMC good medical practice domains.
*To participate in emergency Mental Health Act assessments in the community and Police assessment centre.
*To develop good communication with other parts of the service to promote seamless patient pathways and excellent continuity of care.
*To provide excellent communication between the service and other bodies e.g. police, GP's.
*To take an active role in audit and clinical governance, including participation in the Trust audit programme.
*To take part in a yearly enhanced appraisal process and revalidation.
*To continue excellence in teaching and guidance to trainees and medical staff as well as other disciplines.
*To ensure adherence of the policies of the trust and to promote this in others.
*To fulfil other duties as deemed appropriate.
*To cooperate with reasonable changes to the job plan as required.
*Exceptional event work to cover emergency leave or cover within the adult mental health service. This is only within area of specialist expertise.
