Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Consent Lead to join the Mental Capacity Team within Safeguarding.

The successful applicants will help to support the consent agenda across Cardiff and Vale UHB by providing staff with expert support, information, training and guidance on issues relating to consent. The role will involve providing support and guidance to clinicians around consent issues, developing guidance and frameworks, delivering training, facilitating audits and working with clinical boards to help support good practice and embed national guidance.

The role requires collaborative working and the development of effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency relationships with partner agencies.

Whilst training and professional support will be available, applicants require an in-depth knowledge and understanding of consent with experience of working within a complex health or social care organisation.

The successful applicants will play an essential role in ensuring that the UHB meets it's statutory obligations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
