Morecambe South District Nurses has an exciting opportunity to recruit to a permanent post of 22.5 hours per week.
Morecambe South District Nurses are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and highly motivated staff nurse, who is excited to work in an evolving district nursing service. The successful applicant will be committed to working closely with health and social care colleagues, to provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.
This role includes working flexibly over 7 days including weekends and evening shifts.
Applications from student nurses due to qualify and newly qualified staff nurses are welcomed from those who wish to develop within the scope of Community Nursing.
The team is conveniently based in the seaside town of Morecambe, making this a desirable area to both access and a lovely coastal area to work in.
The role requires excellent communication skills as you will be undertaking complex nursing assessments and developing and delivering programmes of care for patients and carers. The district nurses work a 24hr service and there is an expectation that you may be required to support this to ensure service delivery.
You will need to work collaboratively with other professionals, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care to patients in their own homes and community setting.
You will be joining an enthusiastic and motivated team who are friendly and approachable. We are very patient focused and staff development is high on our agenda. As part of our team we want to develop all staff to the highest standard. Staff will have access to regular clinical supervision, training and Occupational Health services.
A full UK driving license is required to carry out this role.
