Job overview

Are you a highly motivated band 5 dietitian with a desire to move into or already working in paediatrics in the community? We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with excellent organisation and team working skills  to join our well respected community service. This post would be ideal if you have a desire to work in community paediatrics but have limited experience in this area. The Alder Hey community dietetic  team consists of B7, B6 and dietetic assistant practitioner roles and we cover  the Liverpool and Sefton areas.  There are office bases in both locations.

The team look after home enterally fed patients, have general paediatric dietetic clinics in various locations across Liverpool and Sefton and also deliver parent education sessions for families with cows milk allergy babies.

You will be responsible for managing your own case load of patients with clinical support from the wider team of specialist dietitians.

A genuine interest in paediatrics and children's health care is a key requirement for this post.  We are a supportive team and regular clinical supervision will be provided as well as  varied CPD opportunities.

  • Monitor, review and re-evaluate the dietetic management and other associated medical treatments against outcome measures adjusting the dietetic treatment care plan and goals.
