Job summary

Main duties of the job

If you come to work with us, you would be part of a friendly, supportive team of Occupational Therapists and support staff. Once you have undertaken a comprehensive induction, you would be independently assessing people, of all ages including children, in their own homes by undertaking a functional assessment of their needs. The role offers the opportunity to support people with a wide variety of health needs including long term health conditions, mental health needs, learning disability or those needing end of life care.A key focus for our team is early intervention and prevention. We provide specialist support and advice, such as undertaking activity of daily living, moving and handling or environmental assessments providing solutions, such as major adaptations and housing advice, to help people to develop and sustain their skills for independent living. With a focus on proportionate assessments, telephone and face to face assessments are completed as appropriate.Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
