Milton Keynes University Hospital Maternity team are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible midwives who have a passion for working within the GP based community midwifery setting. You will work in collaboration with women and their families, supporting personalised choice, and high standards of care.

The Maternity Service prides itself on supporting you to fulfil your career aspirations. We have a bespoke training offer for all midwives appointed at MKUH.

An excellent comprehensive induction package is provided to enable development of your midwifery skills in all areas, including community.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Clinical Practice

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care consistent with evidence-based practice for service users, parents, babies and families

Communication and Relationship Skills

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the multi-professional team, allied groups within the acute Trust and Community Health, public and voluntary sectors.

Professional and Legal Responsibilities

  • Abide by legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice in accordance with the NMC Code of professional standards and behaviour
