The post holder will work as a member of the District Nursing Service under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader and Registered Nurse, providing an overnight service for patients within the CTUMHB footprint.
The post holder will contribute to the implementation of essential nursing care as assessed and prescribed by the Registered Nurse. This will include working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena alongside the primary health care team.
The post holder will acknowledge their limitations and actively seek advice as necessary.
Due to the community working nature of the role, you will need to be able to travel around the Health Board in a timely manner.
The post holder will be required to undertake a range of clinical and clerical activities as delegated by the Team Leader/Deputy Team Leader/Registered Nurse. These activities will be carried out in a variety of settings including patients’ homes, clinic settings, GP surgeries, residential and nursing homes and the district nurses base.
The post holder will support the team to maintain the medical and surgical stock levels adhering to the agreed minimum and maximum stock levels required for the District Nursing Team.
