An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered general nurse to join the District Nursing Service in the North Locality. The successful candidate will integrate with teams across the Locality and Angus. You will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service which will mean rotation of day/evening shifts/base to ensure provision of service over the 24-hour period over 7 days. Base location will be decided after interview.
Applicants must have current community nursing experience and hold the Advanced Clinical Skills and must hold, or undertake, the Non-Medical Prescribing module. A PG Cert in Integrated Community Nursing is desirable but not essential.
The post-holder should have excellent leadership skills, including managing workload and skill-mix team of staff. You will be responsible for assessment and delivery of high quality effective, efficient care. You will be expected to have a wide range of clinical knowledge and skills with evidence of continuous professional development, a commitment to study and good interpersonal and communication skills.
You will work in close partnership with colleagues across Angus to achieve the objectives of Angus Health & Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan, ensuring an integrated approach to the delivery of compassionate care. Being an open, honest, approachable and responsible individual with an attitude to support excellent team working will be essential as will understanding how to develop and grow and nurture strong interpersonal relationships. These will be critical values and qualities which will develop and drive high performance to ensure the delivery of the best care experience possible.
A key objective will be to support the design and delivery of new models and pathways of care within the service with a commitment to multi-disciplinary working with the ability to adapt and manage change within the service being essential.
The ability to travel across the geographical area of Angus Health & Social Care Partnership is essential.
