Job overview

As Commissioning Support Officer, you will work within the Welsh Kidney Network (WKN). You will assist in the smooth and effective running of the network team.  Working within a diverse and changing portfolio of work aimed at the continual development of kidney care across Wales, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.  The role will:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Commissioning Team.
  • To collect and collate data and information to support decision-making and governance.
  • To act as first point of contact for the function for both internal and external organisations
  • To have specific responsibility for co-ordination of the delegated function, including updates for reports, service reviews, planning policies, and the Integrated Medium-Term Plan.
  • To co-ordinate the production of commissioning, contract and performance information reports

You will work closely with the core Welsh Kidney Network team and lead clinicians, as well as with our colleagues and stakeholders across and within provider Health Boards, Welsh Government and the wider Joint Commissioning Committee.
