An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Colorectal Straight-to-Test Administrator within the Surgery Department. This role is vital in the day-to-day running of the administrative and clerical functions of the Straight-to-Test process and supporting the department /Operational Managers to ensure service is delivered.
To assist in the smooth running of the colorectal service providing an accurate real-time master schedule for specific Consultants.To perform regular data quality and validation duties to maintain clean data.To assist in the day-to-day running of administrative and clerical functions of the Straight-to-Test process.Ensure a helpful and efficient service is provided to patients and staff by supervising and participating in the day-to-day activities of the department. Liaising with colleagues for coordination of diverse aspects of work and supporting team members through offering advice, guidance and support as appropriate.Assist the Operational Support Manager/Operational Manager with any requirements to ensure service is delivered.
Specific Duties
To assist with all new STT referrals, adding to the spreadsheetEnsure the referral has been entered correctly on the hospital system (PAS) and patients are discharged in a timely mannerMonitor the STT PTLEnsure all referrals are monitored and tracked on the spreadsheet ensuring their whereabouts at all times
Scheduling Duties
To provide an efficient and effective clerical support to facilitate patients accessing all clinical services provided by the departmentTo monitor appointments for the team to book as required due to schedule amendmentsIdentify and monitor all outstanding referrals/results are dealt within in a timely mannerUploading of documentation after appointmentsManaging spreadsheets inputting dataTo create and set up Nurse Led clinicsMaintaining EReferralIdentify and monitor all outstanding referrals/results are dealt with in a timely manner and ensure pathways are closed in a timely manner
Validation duties
To aid with monitoring of specialty activity by helping to produce statistics for central useTo assist in the achievement of the waiting time targets by working with the Managers to develop process
General duties
To ensure records and information are easily accessed, accurate and that actions are taken at an appropriate timeTo ensure all communications are accurate, timely and well presented in accordance with the corporate identityTo ensure patients' activity is protected by maintaining confidentiality when dealing with staff, patients, and the publicTo scan relevant documentation onto the relevant systems
