Join our dynamic team working within an 'at risk mental health' pathway (ARMS) of the Early Intervention for psychosis service (EIPS).
Post is available at Band 7 (a developmental post) or 8A depending on experience. Relevant support and experience will be provided to ensure that successful newly qualified applicants will be able to transition into an 8A psychology post, after demonstrating significant post-qualifying experience and meeting the requirements.
This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.

Main duties of the job
- To provide specialist psychological assessments for clients of the ARMS pathway of the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team requiring the analysis, interpretation, and integration of highly complex psychological data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care. • To formulate and implement plans for the psychological treatment and/or management of clients’ mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy, across the full range of care settings. • To be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups; employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations, drawing upon different explanatory models, and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses developed with the client.
