The Psychotherapy department operates two services working across the Tayside region (Angus, Dundee and Perth): The Multidisciplinary Adult Psychotherapy Service (MAPS) and Veterans First Point Tayside (V1PT).
MAPS provide a specialist psychotherapy service to the adult population across Tayside. This involves the delivery of evidence-based psychotherapy in three clinical pathways: Depression, Anxiety and Trauma. The service undertakes: specialist assessments; psychological formulation and treatment planning; clinical interventions, evaluation and discharge planning.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Senior Adult Psychotherapist to join the MAPS service. The post will have dedicated clinical sessions as well as time allocated to service development and continued professional development.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced mental health professional with a relevant qualification such as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or other mental health qualification with significant post qualification experience in a mental health setting.
Eligible psychotherapy applicants will have a core mental health training followed by a minimum post-graduate Diploma level (or equivalent) professional psychotherapy training recognised by a relevant professional accreditation body and be registered with a suitable professional body such as the UK NMC, SSSC or HCPC. Eligible psychology applicants will possess a post graduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
The post-holder will be based in Perth or Dundee based on the needs of the service. This post is permanent and 18 hours per week.
