
We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding section and support the work of the Radiological Physics and Radiation Protection Service. While candidates with experience are welcomed, the position would be ideal for a graduate or someone looking to start their career in Medical Physics. Full training will be provided to support the right candidate to become a Registered Clinical Technologist.
You will be responsible for performing quality assurance checks on Phototherapy equipment throughout the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and for our external customers. Duties include routine Ultraviolet radiation quality assurance and investigations, as well as working both independently and alongside colleagues to perform acceptance tests, critical examinations and fault investigations. Additional duties include analysing patient dose data to support optimisation of exposures, performance testing and arranging external calibration of test equipment, development of spreadsheets and test protocols and maintaining documentation relating to our Quality Management System. Frequent travel across Yorkshire is required and you should have your own means of transport.
