Job summary

Main duties of the job

The post involves supporting the clinical leads with rotation planning and collaborative working across the Trust site to ensure equity and appropriate teaching cover across all rotations. The post holder will be responsible in supporting the clinical lead in the day to day organisation of allocated teaching timetables. Candidates will network across clinical areas to support the recruitment of clinicians to deliver bedside teaching for some rotations.

A key part of the post is teaching and facilitating learning to all levels of undergraduate students and postgraduate trainees within the clinical area, via the virtual platform, within the classroom, Simulation Centre and clinical skills lab. This includes the academic support for students where remediation following a period of absence has been identified by the pastoral lead/leads. Teaching fellows maybe an immediate point of contact for those students in difficulty and will work closely to refer students to the pastoral lead/leads.

Although the post is based within a nominal site there is an expectation to cover Trustwide teaching, to be part of the SIM faculty for both undergraduate students and post graduate trainees
