Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker within the Huggett Suite  .We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to take on a support worker role within the stroke services and be a support to both the Clinical Support Workers and the Nursing team alike.

Main duties of the job

You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and receive structured appraisal, support, mentorship and training.

As a Clinical Support Worker you will:

  • Work in support of and under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), providing nursing care and assistance to patients within defined parameters specified by the Registered Nurse.
  • Record patient information.
  • Provide basic patient care and document that care in the patient records.
  • Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team in order to achieve desired outcomes that promote the well being of patients.
  • Assist the RN's in the delivery of care to a designated patient group, demonstrating an ability to prioritise such care.
  • Assist in the implementation of direct clinical care.
  • Determine the comfort of patients by talking and listening to them and building up a rapport.
  • Assist in feeding of patients who are unable to do so themselves and complete food charts where necessary.
