We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide a high quality of care to patients in our Children's Outpatients.
Our Children’s outpatient services provide services for Children and Young People from 0 to 18 years of age across two busy sites, Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital. The outpatients department provides clinics for many specialities as well as visiting Consultants from other trusts.
Main duties of the job
You should be able to: Work under the direction and support of a Registered Children’s Nurse, providing both clinical and administrative duties within defined parameters specified by the registered nurse. Record patient information.
Book and manage appointments using the Lorenzo computer based system Assist in the delivery of clinical care to Children and Young People, trained to undertake blood testing, ECG's and patient observations under the direction of a registered nurse. Be aware of the structure and organisation of the NHS
