Are you an experienced clinician with a proven track record of working with autistic adults who is keen to provide specialist support, training, and supervision to colleagues within Trustwide Mental Health and Learning Disability Services across DTV-F and NYYS.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Clinical Specialist to work as part of the TEWV Trustwide Autism Service.

The roles will act as a resource to TEWV Mental Health staff through the delivery of mandatory and specialist training packages, autism case consultation, advice around autism informed mental health care and will have an additional focus on those autistic adults on the dynamic support register.

The role is aligned to the TEWV Trustwide Autism Service which works across the whole and encompasses all specialities and directorates and the successful candidate will work under the support and guidance of senior clinicians within the Trustwide Autism Service. Training and service development opportunities are key parts of the role. There are opportunities for innovation and leadership as we look to continually improve our services and co-production is key to the development and improvement of our services.

Main duties of the job

Working in support of colleagues across a range of In-patient and Community  Mental Health Service throughout the Trust , the successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously and as part of a resilient and professional team, working collaboratively with internal and external partners to act as a resource to staff through the delivery of mandatory and specialist training packages, autism case consultation, advice around autism informed mental health care.

You will be able to develop and demonstrate clinical leadership, supervisory and coaching skills. You will have a comprehensive knowledge of Autism and Mental Health Care, and the relevant Autism and Mental Health Legislation.

Strong team working is essential, requiring networking with a variety of people, as well as working in partnership with a range of different agencies both internal and external to the team.
