Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS FT (DCHS) is offering suitable candidates the opportunity to join our dynamic, innovative and supportive MSK team as a clinical specialist physiotherapist in an exciting portfolio role. DCHS is one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist community health services in the UK and was recently awarded an outstanding rating by CQC.
We currently have opportunities to work within South Derbyshire in particular Swadlincote, Amber Valley and Erewash; all of which offer an easy commute from neighbouring counties.
Our MSK, FCP and physiotherapy services are working collaboratively to deliver an integrated service that provides accessible and responsive care to meet the needs of patients, GPs and the wider system.
We work using both face to face and innovative virtual service delivery models to deliver care to patients in the right place, by the right person at the right time. Within this role you will be embedded in a large and experienced MSK team who will be a source of peer support and supervision. This varied and interesting role enables you to work across the MSK pathways in Derbyshire with a mix of MSK First Contact Practitioner and MSK CATS caseload.
We are looking to appoint a Band 7 for this post or to progress from Band 6 to Band 7 as a development role. A Band 6-7 development post may take up to 2 years to complete dependent on experience and skills using a competency based framework.

The position is for a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for MSK physiotherapists who meet the standards of the NHSE FCP roadmap.
However, we are also inviting applications from senior physiotherapists with aspirations to develop into a clinical specialist to come and work within the Physio and MSK services where we will be happy to provide training and supervision to support your career goals.
