The Neonatal Service Clinical Sister is a key member of the Senior Nursing Team within the Children’s Clinical Business Unit and will provide accountable leadership and expertise to junior colleagues at the same time as assuring that the highest-level quality of care is provided within the Hull Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Transitional Care area.
The successful candidate will be a highly competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner setting the highest standards of care. The post-holder will ensure the provision of excellent, evidence-based care for all patients and their families.
The Clinical Sister will act as a role model to junior colleagues and be skilled in decision making, educating/sharing clinical and leadership skills and communicating clearly to all members within the multi-disciplinary team.
In addition to clinical aspects of the role, the successful candidate will have the skills and personality to have a positive impact on the working days of colleagues, recognizing openly good practice and effort whilst at the same time challenging practice constructively and supportively where necessary. As the Clinical Sister you will foster an environment where people aspire to work and become part of our NICU family.
The post holder will be expected to work with the minimum of supervision and co-ordinate his / her activities to ensure that an efficient and safe service is consistently provided.
