Job summary

Clinical research Fellow to work in Rheumatology / Musculoskeletal Research This is an appointment for a Clinical research Fellow to work in Rheumatology / Musculoskeletal Research within the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre, offed on a fixed term basis until August 2027 with the potential for extension subject to funding. The appointee will conduct research in Musculoskeletal Disease, Work Stream 2 and Spondylorarthritis portfolio. This will include performing research aimed at preventing prevention of psoriatic arthritis and other spondyloarthritis. The post will be based at Chapel Allerton Hospital, Leeds. Main duties of the job

The major role of the successful candidate will be to conduct research in Musculoskeletal Disease, Work Stream 2 and Spondyloarthritis portfolio: This will include performing research aimed at preventing prevention of psoriatic arthritis and other Spondyloarthritis. The appointee will work in conjunction with the LIRMM at the University of Leeds, in the day-to-day coordination of the research. He/she will undertake projects in a variety of areas within the workstream. The appointee will also be sub-investigator in external clinical trials in the relevant disease area as required, will co-ordinate the maintenance of clinical databases for this patient population and will participate in clinical activities directly related to the disease area and research. The appointee would be required to attend and participate in BRC meetings, research presentations, journal reviews and external speaker meetings, which are held regularly at Chapel Allerton Hospital and other locations. The appointee would be expected to be actively involved in the Leeds BRC Trainees Network.
