Job overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Assistant to join the Women’s Health Research Team at UCLH.

This role supports the delivery of the Placental Monitoring Study, which is is an observational study of a new wearable monitoring device that has been developed by UCL engineers to detect changes in placental function by monitoring the oxygen saturation and metabolism.

Main duties of the job

The role involves screening and approaching potential participants to provide comprehensive information about the study, as well as assisting with data collection and other day to day research activities and taking ownership of data management/databases. You will work closely with the Chief investigator, senior research midwives  research fellows, engineers, trial manager and clinical teams to help achieve the study milestones.

This is a fixed term role, currently until the end of January 2026, but with the potential for an extension subject to further funding.
