This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pain Management team within the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, based at Adelaide Street Health Centre.
The Pain team is a large, dynamic and friendly multi-disciplinary team. There are currently 4 part-time Clinical Psychologists and 1 full-time Assistant Psychologist within the Pain team, and we are recruiting to a 0.6 WTE Clinical Psychology role. Clinical Psychology is respected and valued within the team, and there are several multi-disciplinary groups offered to our patients, in which psychology plays a key role. There is a strong developmental focus within the team and the successful candidate will be supported to develop their skills and clinical interests within the needs of the service.
We would be keen to hear from applicants who are soon to complete their Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and would appoint newly qualified staff on a Band 7. Candidates with at least 18 months experience would be appointed at a Band 8A.
Part time: 22.5 hrs per week

The role includes a combination of individual assessment appointments and individual treatment appointments, in addition to psychology group sessions and multi-disciplinary work. The main treatment model used within the service is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy alongside trauma-focused therapies including EMDR and specialist group supervision is available as required alongside regular clinical supervision within the service. There will be the opportunity to get involved in service development, and to shape the psychology provision within the clinic.
Research is encouraged and you will be supported to consider research projects.
The post is based at Adelaide Street Health Centre which has free onsite parking available for staff. In addition to duties within clinics, the post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development of Clinical Psychology across the Trust, and there will be occasions when it will be necessary to attend meetings at the main NNUH site on Colney Lane.
