Job summary

Main duties of the job

The Clinical Pharmacy Technician is responsible for ensuring inpatients are prioritised appropriately and high risk patients are identified and referred to the pharmacist. These include:

  • The review of current prescribed medicines
  • Identify newly prescribed medicines
  • Screen physical health monitoring i.e. bloods. To ensure the patient receives best outcome around safe and effective use of medicines while in our service.
  • Identify high risk medicines (clozapine, lithium, methotrexate etc)
